Subject: 2018 Davie Memorial Day Parade Update
You are receiving this email because you have confirmed participation in the Memorial Day Parade in Davie.
We will assemble at the Davie Fire Administration (6905 Orange Drive) at 10:00 on May 28th and at 10:30 we will walk to the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds (4271 Davie Road, Davie, FL, 33314) where the Memorial Day Service will start at 11:00 a.m..
There is limited parking at the Fire Headquarters, so if your group is walking in the parade, Please park at the Rodeo Grounds and walk back to the starting location. If you park elsewhere, please be sure to park in marked spaces and not on private property.
The parade will go on if there is rain. However, if there is lightning at 10:00, or indications that lightning will be in the area, please assemble walkers at the Arena for safety. One of our volunteers will be at the parade start at 10:00 to keep those who are there informed of our status if this should become an issue. If the weather clears, we will regroup at the parade starting point by 10:30.
Regardless of the weather, the service will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Rodeo Grounds.
We look forward to seeing you there, and are preparing for a great event.
Yours in Scouting,
Scoutmasters Camporee Chief 2019 and 2018 Memorial Day Parade Chairman
